It is a fact that the winter season is one of the coldest , but most of all dirtiest. Everything get cover with snow, ice, dirty water and mud. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t escape from the dirt. The situation gets even worse when you get mack home after a heavy day. Even when you wipe your shoes on your mat, they still be source of awful dirt accumulation, mainly covered with mud. Considering that , it is not surprising to find a nasty mud stain on your beautiful carpet.
In order to help you remove such marks with minimum efforts cleaners Whitechapel provide the following tips on how to clean mud stains from your carpet:
As a start you should leave the affected area to fully dry , before taking any cleaning actions. Otherwise you will spread the stain even further, making its removal harder.
Once the mud dries, vacuum your carpet vigirously tocollect any loose dirt or other debris such as dust or hair.
Combine 1/2 tsp. of laundry detergent with 1 cup of warm water or room-temperature club soda in a large bowl.
Submerge a clean cotton cloth in the solution solution and wring it out to remove the excess water.
Work on the affected areas with the cloth, starting from their edge towards the center. Repeat this several times until all dirt particles have transferred from the carpet fibers to the cloths.
The blot the spots with damp rag to rinse.
Lay several dry cloths on the treated spot until to absorb as much moisture as possible. After that point a fan or a hair dryer stetted on “Cool” setting top the moistened areas to dry. In case the fibers of your carpet seem pressed-in or matted after the procedure, run your hand over the carpet to restore the fibers or vacuum the area once again.
